The New Standard of Performance and Value in IP Microwave Systems!

SkyLink CG System 450x377

The newest member of the SkyLink family of digital microwave radios is designed to meet our proven carrier grade & mission critical reliability standards, while setting a new bar in performance and value for IP microwave systems. SkyLink CG offers the key features and ruggedness required by demanding public safety and utility users, QOS sensitive carrier and private networks, and transportable or temporary deployment applications. Yet it also meets the value needs of cost-conscious WISPs and smaller enterprises.

Using the same microwave system Outdoor Unit (ODU) transceiver as our SkyLink system, Cielo Networks’ SkyLink CG microwave radios are available in all FCC/NTIA & ETSI licensed bands from 6 to 39 GHz. SkyLink CG terminals use a “split mount” configuration with an Outdoor Unit (ODU), usually mounted directly to the antenna, an Indoor Unit (IDU) mounted inside a structure or outdoor enclosure, and a single coaxial cable connecting those units. The SkyLink CG system uses advanced software defined radio technology to optimize link bandwidth scalability and operational performance. Payload capacity is allocated to a single IP (GigE) port and an optional TDM module that can support either 2xT1/E1 or 1xDS3/E3 interfaces. All TDM payloads are native; no Pseudowire TDM over IP is used. Software selection and configuration of various operational modes and features optimizes performance while maximizing link system gain. Adaptive features and payload forward error correction (FEC) further insure maximum link robustness and QOS. The SkyLink CG system is ideal for individual link or campus network projects, larger network edge or access links, and other applications requiring only IP or IP + smaller capacity TDM circuits.
